"

I was very pleased with the work that was performed. I needed a barn roof replaced, and I wanted a metal roof. I had a hard time finding someone that would do the work. K. Graber Construction came out to look the job over. I got a fair estimate for the work in a few days. Upon acceptance of the estimate they came out to do the work and it was completed in a very short time. I was amazed at the quick response. I very highly recommend them."

ICF Construction FAQs

What Is
Insualted Concrete Form Construction (ICF)?

Similar to poured concrete walls, ICF construction uses the concept of setting up concrete forms and then filling the forms with concrete.

The forms used in ICF construction, however, are hollow blocks made of rigid thermal insulation.

These blocks securely interlock with each other.  When the forms are completed with ICF blocks, concrete is poured and allowed to dry.

Unlike poured concrete walls, the block forms are not removed after the concrete has dried.  Instead, the ICF blocks remain and help provide insulation.

To finish the construction process, plumbing and electrical parts are typically placed in the insulating blocks.  The final layer is then placed on the interior and exterior.

The final interior and exterior layers are attached to the ICF blocks.  Because of the block construction, the final touches can be made to look similar to typical construction.

The poured concrete wall sandwiched between the ICF blocks provides the long-term durability, stability, and efficiency that Insulated Concrete Form construction is famous for.

When you invest in a new home, you want the structure itself to give you confidence—not create concerns down the road. Strong walls and a dependable foundation are key to building a home that can provide lasting comfort, stability, and protection.

ICF construction takes a different approach by combining concrete with insulated forms to create a durable wall system. The result is a home that is better prepared for severe weather, helps keep outdoor temperatures from affecting your interior, and provides added resistance to pests. It’s a building method designed with both durability and everyday efficiency in mind.
